Donovan pleads to stay
USA international Landon Donovan has appealed to his club LA Galaxy and asked if he can stay at Everton for a further month.
The midfielder, who has been a massive hit at the club since arriving on loan from the States, is due back in LA after this weekend's trip to Birmingham but he now wants to stay.
David Moyes has always wanted to try and keep him but said the chances were slim as Galaxy want him back but now the player himself has asked for permission to stay a further month.
"I would say there is a chance I could stay a little longer," he told the Post."There are a lot of factors involved, obviously, we will see what the Galaxy want.
"Logistically it's harder than just saying I want to stay or I am going to stay. I think we will have a lot more info this week.
"I have told the Galaxy what I want, they know what's going on and I speak to my manager there fairly often and at this point it is an Everton and LA Galaxy conversation.
"Both clubs know how I feel, which is that I would like to stay, though I can't end the season here, I'd have to go back April 15 at the latest.
"If that can be worked out great, if not then the Galaxy are my team and I'm very grateful for the chance I had here."
Striker's future in doubt
Emmanuel Adebayor could be on his way out of Manchester City this summer with the striker believed to be keen on a move to Chelsea.
The News of the World claim the former Arsenal man is unsettled at Eastlands after only a season in the North-West.
Adebayor wanted a switch to Chelsea last summer but the move failed to materialise with only City prepared to match Arsenal's asking price and his frightening salary demands.
The Togo striker is one of the highest paid players in the country although he does have a decent return of a goal every other game in the Premier League despite only making 18 appearances so far this season.
His future with City could depend largely on what happens to manager Roberto Mancini, who's own position is likely to be reviewed in the coming months.
