Morning for a Monday, after a decent old weekend. Sunday was great with a decent HT/FT punt on Everton, a double on Everton and Chelsea, plus a hefty sum on both Bilbao and Palermo in their respective home games. Just to round things off, pulled in the each way element of the golf double advised by Jamie Spence on KJ Choi and Paul Casey, although must be honest , the win part never really looked like copping. Great to see Justin Rose doing so well by the way, and plenty to look forward to in this week's tournaments.

Unusually for a Monday, there's a fair bit of footy to get stuck into. Wigan take on Liverpool on their newly relaid pitch, but I'd still be wary of backing the Reds at around 8-13 on the outrights. I'm waiting for the team news before I make a final decision, but my man at Anfield is suggesting Torres may even be on the bench if Benitez has any doubts about the playing surface.

Speaking of dodgy pitches, there's none worse than Colchester's cabbage patch. Their home form is outstanding and yet somehow they've drifted in the market for their home game against Brighton, albeit the visitors have improved of late and are half decent away from home. That said, their style won't be suited by the surface and forget the fact that the home side have drifted and back them at 5-6. For spread players, watch the cards on this one...the ref dishes out more cards than Ashley Cole on Valentines Day.

Meanwhile in Spain, Valencia will be strengthened by the absence of both Miguel and Marchena. Both are suspended, but Marchena in particular is a liability and his absence will allow Los Che to adopt a more attacking style, which will benefit the outstanding David Villa no end. That said, Racing aren't bad at the back, so buck the trend and go for unders on the 2.5 goals market at 21-20.

Racing is at Lilngers on the sand and Stratford and Ffos Las over jumps. Not too much to report, but AP goes to South Wales ahead of the Midlands and can score with Sir Bere in the closing bumper. Rebecca Curtis is not only the fittest trainer out there ( admittedly not hard ) but knows her stuff, and my mole at the Nicholls yard is not over-enamoured with their Exotic Man. Take the 15-8.
